We grew up on storybooks where the hero looked like someone else, lived somewhere else, was someone else. The stories were beautiful — but they weren't ours.

So we built lil adventure to fix something small but meaningful: to make it easy for any parent, anywhere, to give their child a beautifully made book where the child is the hero. Their name on page one. Their face in the illustrations. Their courage on every page after.

The thinking behind it

There's something quietly magical about a child seeing themselves in a story. Not just relating to a character — actually being the character. When a child reads their own name out loud, runs their finger across an illustration that looks like them, and then asks to read it again the next night, something shifts.

We wanted that to be affordable, fast, and beautiful enough to keep. Not a novelty. A keepsake.

How we make each book

Every adventure is written and illustrated specifically for the child it's made for. You tell us their name, share a few photos, pick the world they'll explore, and we craft a story shaped around them. It's reviewed before delivery. You get a print-quality PDF you can read on a tablet, send to a printer, or keep forever on a drive.

We use modern AI tools to handle the heavy lifting — the writing, the illustration, the layout — because that's what makes the price fair and the turnaround quick. But every book passes through a human-led quality check before it lands in your inbox.

What we care about

• Quality over quantity. We'd rather make one book a child rereads a hundred times than a hundred books they read once.
• Care for your photos. Photos you share are used only to create your book. They're never sold, never shared, and deleted after delivery.
• Inclusive by default. Every child should see themselves as the hero — regardless of how they look, where they're from, or who they love.
• Gentle stories. No fear-based plots, no scary villains. Just warmth, wonder, and quiet courage.
